The ultraviolet excimer laser used in the PRK technique (see Section 30.9) has a wavelength of 193 nm. A carbon dioxide laser produces a wavelength of 1.06 x 10-5 m. What is the minimum number of photons that the carbon dioxide laser must produce to deliver at least as much or more energy to a target as does a single photon from the excimer laser?
