The gravitational force exerted by the Sun on you is downward into the Earth at night, and upward into the sky during the day. If you had a sensitive enough bathroom scale, would you expect to weigh more at night than during the day? Note also that you are farther away from the Sun at night than during the day. Would you expect to weigh less?
